Kersey Ford and Magpie Murders

Magpie Murders is a 2016 mystery novel by British author Anthony Horowitz and the first novel in the Susan Ryeland series. One of the main sets in Series 1 is set in the Suffolk village of Kersey with its central ford. It stars Lesley Manville as Susan Ryeland who solves the murders.
